Perhaps one day, a sequel.

If the stars align, if the Great Magnet wills, maybe we will eventually see what became of our erstwhile heroes. The world they inhabit is one of infinite possibilities and a second season of Ezekiel, Peter and Mike (perhaps even Jake) would be cause for great celebration!

I wonder, would it still be called 'Franklin University' if they have moved on to battle the larger forces of evil?

Return to the Center of the Wheel

There is no such thing as a finished story.

Once upon a time there was an anarchist, a commie, a psych student and a football star, all of whom attended a certain university in Massachusetts. This university had a skyrocketing suicide rate and our unlikely heroes, thinking this peculiar, decided to ask a few questions.

In the years since that fateful act we've seen players come and players go; a few have gleefully stayed the course while others have been torn away by the predations of life. The football star faded into the background, replaced by a grizzled war hero. The psych student got decapitated by history majors. An ordained priest helped us save the world once. A punk princess showed us signs of the apocalypse and great places to score weed. Mayhem crawled out of a shipping container only to leave the same way. A Chinese immigrant found America peopled with the myths of his homeland and was repeatedly mauled by creatures of folklore. But through it all there has been one mission: protect the people of Franklin from supernatural threats.

Now a public treaty has been signed with the Prince of Boston, a blood alliance forged with the Forsaken, the surviving Awakened are closely monitored and the rest blown to smithereens. All in time for graduation! And as the larger threats against the city fall one after another, our eyes begin looking towards the horizon, to other places and people in need of our help. But someone needs to stick around to put down the odd vengeful ghost or troublesome vamp while we're away.

Thus we create a network of knowledgeable individuals, innocents who have brushed the supernatural and survived, redeemed cultists who wish to atone for their crimes, victims and champions, teachers and rebels, all united by the idea that we can stand stronger against the night and its horrors if we all stand together.

And so we drive off into the sunset... bringing our many guns.
